Leo Skirt

Brief overview / tips:

The skirt is knitted top-down in colorwork. First, a folded waistband is knitted and then joined, enclosing an elastic band on the inside. (The elastic should be a maximum of 2.5 cm wide and 2 cm shorter than your waist measurement.)

There are a total of 4 different charts. Stitches are increased evenly across the last round of each chart. Finally, the last chart is repeated until the skirt reaches your desired length. The skirt is finished with an i-cord bind-off.

Waist circumference, approx.: 70–80 (75–96) 94–112 cm

Width, approx.: 126 (146) 158 cm

Length, approx.: 85 (90) 90 cm or desired length

The model in the photos is wearing size 1 and usually wears a size M.

Yarn requirements:

The skirt is knitted using Eco Puno from Lana Grossa.

Camel/base color: 200 (300) 350 g

Black/colorwork color: 250 (300) 350 g

You will also need elastic for the waistband.

Suggested needles:

3.5 mm circular needle, 60/80 cm

4 mm circular needle, 80 cm

Gauge:

25 stitches x 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm
