Lyseren summer top

Brief overview / tips:

The entire top is knitted in stockinette stitch, with selvage stitches, increases, and decreases.

It is knitted bottom-up, with a rounded hem, slight waist shaping, and a racerback.

First, the front and back pieces are knitted separately back and forth, with increases. The pieces are then joined and knitted in the round, with decreases on each side.

The work is then divided again and knitted back and forth before the shoulders are sewn or knitted together.

Try it on as you go. All bodies are different, and some may need more or fewer increases or decreases, for example around the bust.

Finished garment measurements:

Underbust circumference, approx.: 60 (68) 76 (84) 94 (100) 108 cm

Circumference just above the hips, approx.: 84 (92) 100 (108) 116 (128) 136 cm

Total length, approx.: 47 (48) 50 (52) 54 (54) 55 cm (or desired length)

Total length is measured from the shoulder down the side.

The top is 5–6 cm longer at the center front and back.

Choose a size with approximately 5–10 cm of negative ease around the bust.

Yarn requirements:

The top is knitted using Petunia by Rauma Garn (approx. 110 m/50 g).

Yarn alternatives: Drops Belle, Drops Muskat, Sandnes Line, Viking Bamboo, etc.
