Simply Boho Dress

Brief Overview/Tips:

This is a loose-fitting off-shoulder dress featuring a cable-knit shoulder band, a light and airy ruffle, and a dress worked in fine mohair.

The dress is knitted in three separate pieces, which are assembled at the end.

I recommend crocheting (or sew) a thin elastic thread onto the wrong side of the shoulder band to ensure a snug fit around the upper body. This also helps the cable pattern hold its shape and gives it a neater appearance.

The dress is worked from the top down, with side slits and i-cord edging. The cable-knit band is worked flat, while the ruffle is first worked in the round, then flat with decreases and a lace pattern. The belt is crocheted using slip stitches, but it can also be twisted, finger-crocheted, or knitted as an i-cord.
